WELCOME

Thank you for experiencing the joy of worshiping God with us at St. Thomas Anglican Church. We want you to feel welcomed and cared for while you are here. Our invitation to you is to visit us as often as you wish and to discover the spirit of St. Thomas in our journey of faith, hope and love. You will find the loving fellowship of our church communion open to you and we rejoice in the knowledge that God has crossed our paths today! We pray that He opens our eyes to how we can encourage you and experience the blessings of your presence with us. Jesus established the church to be a communion of believers, a family to encourage each other in union and to project His love to the world. If you are searching for a group of people to accept you where you are and challenge you to grow in your reflection of God's love. "Welcome" for that is our goal. For those who call this "home", we commit to pray, to listen with compassion, to forgive and to nurture. We trust you will be strengthened and healed through the power of the Holy Spirit as we worship, learn, grow and encourage one another. Our hope is that you find your spiritual home here at St. Thomas’. We are happy that you are here - Welcome!

The Reverend Marian Conrad                                                    Parish Rector

OUR WORSHIP

We are a community of people who love God, who seek inspiration from the Holy Scriptures, who are nourished by the Sacraments and who long to be the Body of Christ in the World.
We continue to worship God in the spirit of the Reformation era and the ongoing trends of worship within the Anglican Communion. We pray that we reveal Jesus to the world and share in building one another up in our spiritual and emotional life.
We are a parish whose love of God is expressed in the reading of the scriptures, in proclamation, in praise, and in prayer of deep concern for one another and God's world.
The Anglican Church of Canada extends the hospitality of the Lord's Table to all. If you are baptized and receive communion in your own church, you are welcome to receive communion during our worship service.

OPPORTUNITIES TO SERVE

Within Our Worship: Servers, Altar Guild, Eucharistic Ministers, Lay Readers, Greeters, Sides People, Choir

Outreach Programs which support Feed Nova Scotia, Beacon House, St. Georges Kitchen, Primate's Fund, Mission to Seafarers and the Candy Cane Program. All of these initiatives show care and concern for the less fortunate in God's world and our volunteers are the foundation of their success.

Ways & Means Auxiliary works faithfully to offer many events in support of our community, and hospitality, for our church. There are many welcomed ways to share your gifts within this organization.

Parish Property Ministry works hard to keep the Church and Rectory well maintained. We always welcome newcomers to join us for some social fun which is planned around the seasonal up keep of our property.
